Do not be too easy shopping in duty free goods at the international airport. You need to be carefully and know the latest information to get maximal benefit.
What do you usually do at the international airport? Honestly, not much activities beside window shopping at duty free shops or try restaurants in there, and occasionally you may be tempted to spent your money to buy something. Most of us know what we loking for, aftershave, perfume, alcohol drink or cigarettes may be. However, where the best places to buy items like that?
Most people who travel with international flights generally have three options when buying goods tax free. At the departure terminal, in the plane, or in the arrival terminal. The logic thinking is the price comparison between them does not much different, but that can be a big mistake.
Sometimes for the same size, brand and type, the price can be very different. So, you need to make a calculation before spend your money. Try to do little survey when you travel. Once upon a time, we try to compare the price of a bottle of Chivas Regal Royal Salute. In flight the price where USD 62, in Hong Kong International Airport HKD 800 (almost USD 103), and in Bangkok International Airport Bath 5.320 (almost USD 136 !!!). That is a big different, with the price on BIA you can have 2 bottles of Chivas Regal if you buy it on flight.
But you need to remember that the stock of goods in the flight is limited. If in the flight does not have the stock of goods that you look for, you have no choice except to wait until in the arrival terminal. Also note that the prices may change every time, so make sure you have adequate information so that you can save your money during the trip.
